A Happy Holidays Poem For My Working Mom Friends

Dear Working Mom,

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. As I sign off for the year I wanted to give you a little something.  Here is a poem I wrote for you. I hope you like it:

A Happy Holidays Poem To My Working Mom Friends

Happy Holidays Working Mama, you are quite the champ.

Remember this when licking your Holiday card stamps.

You finished your shopping and checked your list twice.

You even gave presents to co-workers who might not have been nice.

The holiday work party was a great date night,

Your spouse even commented that it was alright.

Your kids have been good and not acting too crazy,

But staying up late to wrap presents has made you feel hazy.

As the holidays grow near turn your “out of the office” message on

And pray that nothing horrible happens while you are gone.

Next, comes the lists for the baking, errands, and cleaning,

And the stress starts to build because you want your house gleaming.

But once the holidays officially start

You remember why this time of year is so dear to your heart.

The family you help provide for is healthy, happy, and fed,

And you are so lucky to tuck them in bed.

Celebrate all that you’ve done in this past year,

Because working mom, you deserve some good cheer!

Happy Holidays, Mama! ‘

Love, Liz xoxo
