My book is coming out! Here’s how I’m doing it.

This weeks video is about fear.  Check it out!

I am in the process of writing a book!  It’s due out Summer of 2014.  I have a few people other than my mother and husband reading it, and I’m feeling vulnerable and afraid.  But I also feel FANTASTIC!  I’m outside of my comfort zone doing something I never thought I would do.  I’m starting a new chapter in my life (no pun intended) and a new door is soon to open for me.

So, how am I doing this?

First, I remain confident.  When the little gremlin pops up and says, “you don’t know what you’re talking about.  Who do you think you are for attempting this?” I turn her off.  I don’t know unless I try!  I have a message that I really want to share.

Second, I have support that keeps pushing me forward.  I talk about my fear to them, they listen, and keeping saying, “who knows what will happen!  That’s the exciting part.  Just enjoy the experience.’

Third, I have the urge to help.  I believe Working Moms needs more support.  I don’t want them to feel alone in their struggles and challenges.  I want to be one of the voices out there cheering them on and I know this book will help.

Last, I keep motivation all around me.  There is a piece of paper on my bookcase that reads:

Write women write!

Stop procrastinating

Stop feeling scared.

Done is better than perfect.

When I feel anything except happiness about my book, I stare at this piece of paper & then at the picture of my husband whose been the best supporter of my efforts.

Are you doing anything that makes you fearful?  If not why not?  How do you stay confident and moving forward?  Leave a comment down below.

Hope you are enjoying the videos as much as I am making them!  Talk to you next week.
